Ellett Valley Church has been organized as a Pentecostal Holiness Church for over 75 years.
Pastor Steve & Marilou Akers have been involved in ministry for over 40 years and began pastoring at Ellett in 1997.
As stated on our home page welcome, our mission is to fully know the love of Jesus Christ, to grow in His grace, and to share His hope... One soul at a time. Pastor Steve and Marilou Akers' hope as the leaders at Ellett Valley P.H.C is that everyone that comes through our doors feels welcome and comes to the knowledge of who Jesus is on a personal level. We believe that the Church family is a much needed support system for all believers, to help us on our way home and to be a light to those who need Him.

Welcome to our church family! We have been involved in ministry for over 40 years and began pastoring at Ellett Valley Pentecostal Holiness Church in 1997. Much of our information is stated above and on the home page, so we invite you to meet the rest of our class helpers and teachers below!
Primary Class Teachers & Helpers
(Ages: Infant to 3rd Grade)
Karen Dove, Krissy Janney & Abi Earles
Karen Dove (left) is our secretary/treasurer and Primary classroom helper.
Krissy Janney (middle) is our Youth Ministry Assistant and Primary teacher. Krissy also assists in the Middler and Teen/Young Adult class.
Abi Earles (right) is our primary class helper.

Karen Dove has been an assistant teacher in our Primary and Nursery classes for several years.
She loves the kids and the Lord and is a faithful dedicated worker!

Middler Class Teacher
(Ages: 3rd to 6th Grade)
Missy Roberts
My name is Missy Roberts. I am a wife and the mother of an amazing son. My journey at Ellett Valley began in 2009. My husband and I felt at home here and enjoyed the ministry style so we decided to stay. I was a preschool teacher at the time and used my weekends to decompress and Sunday was a time to fill my spiritual needs. As the years passed and my personal career took me out of the classroom on a regular basis the opportunity arose here at Ellett Valley for a teacher in the Middler Class. I felt this was God's way of telling me to continue using my talents for His glory. I have shared this position with other helpers and it has brought so much joy to my life. I feel that I am able to continue pursuing my passion while also filling my spiritual needs. It is my goal to create a classroom environment that is inviting and comfortable but is also a safe space where these kids can feel free to speak without judgement, ask questions and share their concerns. We are here to build each other up, figure out what our role is as a christian and encourage each other to live up to God's standards rather than worldly standards. I am honored to work the Middler Class at Ellett Valley PHC, they challenge me to dig deeper into God's Word and continue to fill my spirit.

I've been a member of EVPHC since 2010 and love everything about my home church. The Lord has called me to lead the Youth and watching them grow in Christ, well there is nothing better than that! In my classroom we embody the motto of "God Squad"--meaning as a group, we grow together in Christ and are there for each other. We would love to have you join our church family!
David Earles
Sunday School Teacher

I've been a member of EVPHC since 2004. Our church family is full of love and always welcomes new additions! I have been called by the lord to teach the adult class once a month. It has been a blessing to share my life experiences with my church family which encourages me to dig deeper into God's Word. My prayers for the church are that we continue to grow together in the Lord and the words he gives me will encourage others to anchor their lives in Christ and receive all he has to offer. We would love for you to join our wonderful church family. I promise we'll make you feel right at home!
Dance Team Leaders
Hannah Janney
I have been on the dance team for 6-7 years. I love the dance team because we’re ALL family and everyone is so welcoming. Not only do we get everything we’re supposed to get done, we have time to make sure everyone is okay. My advice for any new members is that do not be afraid to speak up. (Hannah also helps teach in our primary classroom)
Chloeye Smith
I have been on the team for over 5 years and every moment has pushed me farther in my faith. Starting from just a member to now a leader, I’ve learned and grown so much. I love the environment, place of worship, and allowance of creativity to better God’s kingdom! For new people starting out, I think the most important thing to realize is growth is right outside your comfort zone!
Youth Activities
Sara Akers
Youth Activities Coordinator

Sara coordinates events throughout the year including Valentines Day Brunch, Easter Party, Fall Festival and Christmas Celebration. She assists with planning of Youth Nights and Community Outreach projects. She has a gift in this area and does such a great job at incorporating fun for all ages.
Lorie Moses
Youth Activities Assistant

Lorie collaborates with the Youth Activities Coordinator in planning of special events for our youth during the year. She has a heart for community outreach and does such a great job bringing creativity to our events.
